Playback Designs MPD-8AI Dream DAC & Preamplifier

The MPD-8AI is equipped with the same exact circuits as the MPD-8 from the same Dream series. In addition to the same digital inputs as on the MPD-8, however, it also provides for analog inputs that are directly routed to the analog output stages through its analog high quality volume control. No digital conversion is performed on these analog inputs. With this additional feature the MPD-8AI is destined for applications with both analog and digital playback sources, therefore eliminating the need for an external pre-amp. The MPD-8AI treats the analog input signals with the same precision and care as its digital inputs. This product has been designed for ultra high-end performance. Its architecture is specifically designed to eliminate and isolate anything that might hurt its analog performance.
