New English Electric EE1 Plus – Advanced network noise isolator
Building on 40 years of Chord Company’s AV signal expertise, the EE1 Plus introduces improvements in noise reduction from lessons learned since the original EE1 debuted.
It discreetly fits between Ethernet cables in A/V streaming systems, eliminating the network noise often generated by household devices, without hindering digital signals; although digital signals are generally robust, they are often accompanied by a degree of noise.
Noise reduction can be achieved in various configurations: between a data switch and a streamer/server, a server and a streamer, or a router and a data switch. Further reduction can be attained by using additional devices, for example, between a router and a data switch, and between the switch and a streamer.
Installation options
For optimum results please ensure the > direction markings on the EE1 Plus unit follow the direction of the music/data signal.
If using cables of varying quality we suggest connecting the superior model/s as far along the signal path as possible, between EE1 Plus and the server/streamer (system type 1) or between EE1 Plus and streamer (system type 2).
If further noise-reduction/enhancement is desired, a second EE1 or EE1 Plus can be installed between router and network switch.
Installing the EE1 Plus will require an additional ethernet cable.
We recommend using Chord Company streaming (Ethernet) cables throughout your streaming audio system.
