The MPS-8 incorporates the same drive system and digital front end as the MPT-8 Dream Transport. But it also has an internal high quality DAC built in that borrows its technology from the MPD-8 Dream DAC. It is, therefore, a more compact version of the MPD-8 / MPT-8 pair in a single chassis.

Stream-X2 streamer provides direct connection to streaming services such as Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer and vTuner that can be controlled via an app on a tablet. Furthermore, it also allows to play files from connected USB storage or network storage (NAS) and provides “roon-ready” integration into Roon audio networks with PCM support up to 192kHz and single rate DSD. It functions as DLNA and UPnP renderer as well.

The MPS-8 is powered by two of the same high quality linear power supplies as used in the MPD-8 DAC whereby one of them is used for all digital circuits while the other one powers the analog section.
