The Z9X 8K is a full-spec 8K UHD player designed for high-end 8K home theater systems. It features the powerful Amlogic S928X-K chipset, 6GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB eMMC storage.
The newly developed cross-platform player architecture offers exceptional compatibility with audio/video and subtitles, as well as providing excellent AV synchronization and rendering performance. Combined with the new VPU video processing engine, it supports almost all Dolby Vision formats with direct metadata output.

The Z9X 8K is equipped with the Amlogic S928X-K ARM A76+A55 five-core processor using 12-nm technology, featuring a 3.2 TOPS NPU and built-in Al.. picture quality optimization engine. It boasts better processing capabilities and powerful decoding performance that achieves outstanding audiovisual playback.

Large Memory Smooth Response
6GB of new-generation DDR4 RAM provides fast and smooth playback response while enjoying wonderful movie and music. 64GB eMMC internal storage meets the needs for installing numerous applications, creating more possibilities for audio-visual entertainment.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
The Z9X 8K is equipped with a built-in 2.4G+5G dual-band 2R2T MIMO Wi-Fi module that supports Wi-Fi 6, offering wireless transmission speeds of up to 1201 Mbps. Additionally, it features a BT 5.2 module, supporting a wider range of Bluetooth connections such as remote controls, mice, speakers, and headphones.

The new Zidoo 8K series boasts powerful performance, supporting global 4K GUI display. Poster walls and music player covers are clearer and more aesthetically pleasing, while also supporting third-party applications’ 4K UI. Users can freely switch between 4K Ul and 1080P UI in the settings.

The innovative visual technology of Dolby Vision® delivers vivid images, making shadows darker and highlights brighter, providing an extraordinary color range that brings characters to life like never before. With clearer contrast and incredible brightness, it makes you feel more like looking through a window than at a screen.
The Z9X 8K media playback technology supports direct playback of 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray (BDMV and ISO) and various file formats, including MKV, MP4, TS, and M2TS. It supports all mainstream Dolby Vision profiles, utilizing extended Dolby Vision metadata and transmitting it to the TV to enhance picture quality.

Dolby Vision® VS10 Image Engine
The advanced Dolby Vision VS10 video processing engine ensures the highest image quality when playing any type of content (SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision) with any type of video output signal (SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision). It improves the quality of SDR/HDR/Dolby Vision conversion, minimizing the color banding effect. This benefit extends even to older TVs that do not support Dolby Vision. Moreover, the Z9X 8K’s VS10 engine, further developed by Zidoo, can be customized to optimize the viewing experience for different content.

HDR10+
The Z9X 8K is compatible with HDR10+ technology. HDR10+ is the latest and most advanced HDR technology, enhancing the viewing experience beyond HDR10. HDR10+ represents the dynamic range of video content on a per-scene (or even per-frame) basis, providing essential scene characteristics with minimal metadata to preserve important details. While static HDR uses a uniform static tone mapping throughout the content’s duration, HDR10+ employs dynamic tone mapping to optimize each scene, individually increasing brightness and contrast to match the capabilities of the display.

12 Bit Color Depth
The Z9X 8K not only supports 10 Bit (approximately 1.07 billion colors) decoding and output at the resolution of 4K 60Hz, but also supports 12 Bit (approximately 68 billion colors) color output. The 12 Bit color depth has more balanced color representation and natural color transition.

Accurate Frame Rate Switching
The Z9X 8K supports switching original resolution and frame rate automatically and accurately (23.976, 59.94, 25, 30, 50 and 60). The new automatic switching algorithm allows completing the film frame rate switching in advance to ensure smooth and integral film playback.

Cool Poster Wall
The Z9X 8K comes with new movie posters management system. It has concise navigation, personalized category, record viewing and custom collection etc. It makes movie collection more convenient and fully improves the efficiency of mass movies management.

Smooth Blu-ray gapless Branching Playback
The Z9X 8K optimizes the video playback engine, which improves the Blu-ray gapless branching playback and says goodbye to stuttering and messy playback issues. BD and UHD Blu-ray menus are played with authentic viewing experience.

Powerful Subtitle Features
The Z9X 8K features Zidoo’s most powerful subtitle system to date. It supports all forms of special effect subtitles, including built-in/external ASS and built-in/external SUP. All text subtitles (including ASS) can have their position, size, color, font, and timeline (advance or delay by up to 10 minutes) adjusted. The brightness, position, and size of PGS/SUP subtitles can also be adjusted. The resizing of ASS and PGS subtitles is not a simple full-frame adjustment but is instead region-specific based on the subtitle display position, ensuring that resizing does not alter the relative position of special effect subtitles. The Z9X 8K supports mounting two subtitles simultaneously, allowing for the display of both Chinese and English subtitles at the same time. It also supports forced subtitles for PGS based on the original disc and SRT in MKV files.

Music Library Management
The Zidoo music library offers powerful local music playback function and comprehensive local music management. You can add music files from local hard drives or network storage across platforms. The Zidoo music library will automatically fetch music information from the cloud, matching music artists, album covers, descriptions, local CUE files, and more to create a personalized music database. It supports personalized categorization of music by genre, sampling rate, album, artist, and more. You can create custom playlists and it supports high-resolution audio files (such as DSF, DFF, SACD ISO, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, APE, ALAC). The library also supports gapless playback at the same sampling rate and playback gain features.

Wireless Music Streaming
The Z9X 8K can be used as a network music streamer, supporting Tidal Connect streaming and DLNA casting. This means you can use music streaming apps installed on mobile devices within the same local network to wirelessly stream or cast high-quality music to the Z9X 8K for playback. This allows you to enjoy more selection of online music services and experience lossless playback with superior sound quality on the device at the same time.

Multiple Network Protocols
The Z9X 8K supports NFS, SMB v1/2/3, and UPnP sharing protocols, allowing users to browse and play multimedia content saved on NAS or network drives connected in the same LAN with gigabit network. Even high-bit rate DSD512 master recordings can be played without stuttering. Additionally, it supports mounting and streaming from various cloud storage services such as WebDAV.

Powerful File Management and Transfer Capabilities
The Z9X 8K features a comprehensive media file management system. It allows you to perform regular quick edit and management operations such as copying, pasting, cutting, and deleting files on local hard drives and network storage.

Comprehensive Smart Control
The Z9X 8K offers advanced smart control with specially developed Android/iPhone/iPad apps. In addition to basic playback control and system settings, the app allows asynchronous viewing of music library data, system applications, and menus. You can also browse and select built-in streaming services through the control app, making it very convenient to play songs or view music data; For better control, the Z9X 8K also comes with a remote control that supports infrared mode; The Z9X 8K also supports WOL (Wake-on-LAN) functionality (requiring a wired network connection), enabling remote control for turning the device on and off on the app.
