The Flagship of MOONDROP’s Dynamic-Driver K-Series

The MOONDROP KADENZ represents the culmination of MOONDROP’s development of high-performance single dynamic-driver IEMs.

Rather than relying on multiple drivers, KADENZ focuses on extracting exceptional performance from a single, highly advanced 10mm second-generation patented Super-Linear dynamic driver. MOONDROP combines this driver with a newly optimized acoustic cavity, specialized diaphragm materials and a replaceable-nozzle system to achieve a highly refined and balanced presentation.

Second-Generation Patented Super-Linear Dynamic Driver

At the heart of KADENZ is MOONDROP’s newly developed ULT-Gen2 patented Super-Linear dynamic driver.

The 10mm driver is engineered to provide excellent linearity, low distortion and highly controlled dynamics. By concentrating the design around a single advanced driver, MOONDROP is able to maintain a naturally coherent presentation across the frequency range while pursuing extremely low distortion.

The result is a dynamic-driver IEM designed to reproduce music with impressive resolution, speed and natural coherence.

TAC Diamond-Coated Dome Composite Diaphragm

KADENZ’s driver features a TAC diamond-coated dome composite diaphragm.

This advanced diaphragm construction is designed to combine rigidity and lightweight characteristics, allowing the driver to respond quickly and accurately to musical transients while maintaining excellent control.

The sophisticated diaphragm material is a key component of KADENZ’s exceptionally low measured distortion of ≤0.03% at 1kHz and 94dB.

A New Acoustic Cavity Structure

MOONDROP has redesigned the internal acoustic cavity of KADENZ to optimize the interaction between the driver and the ear canal.

The newly modeled internal cavity is designed to provide an optimized acoustic volume and a balanced acoustic response, helping the single dynamic driver achieve its full potential.

This approach allows KADENZ to maintain the coherent presentation associated with a single-driver design while providing excellent technical performance.

Interchangeable Nozzle System

KADENZ incorporates a replaceable nozzle design that allows the acoustic coupling between the IEM and the listener’s ear canal to be optimized.

The included interchangeable nozzles provide different acoustic characteristics and allow users to select the option that best suits their ear anatomy and listening preferences.

This is particularly useful for achieving both a comfortable physical fit and the desired acoustic seal.

Precision Stainless Steel Construction

KADENZ combines advanced acoustic engineering with a distinctive industrial design.

Its housing is manufactured using a stainless steel MIM powder metallurgy process, followed by hand polishing. MOONDROP’s “light and shadow” aesthetic gives the housing a sophisticated appearance while providing the durability and precision associated with a metal construction.

Extremely Low Distortion

One of KADENZ’s most impressive specifications is its exceptionally low measured distortion.

MOONDROP specifies THD of ≤0.03% at 1kHz and 94dB, demonstrating the level of control achieved by the second-generation Super-Linear dynamic driver.

This exceptionally low distortion contributes to clean, precise reproduction and allows subtle musical details to emerge without unwanted coloration.

High Sensitivity and Easy Source Compatibility

With a sensitivity of 122dB/Vrms at 1kHz and an impedance of 35Ω ±15%, KADENZ can be driven effectively by a wide range of sources.

It is well suited to use with portable digital audio players, headphone amplifiers, USB DACs, smartphones with suitable adapters, and other high-quality audio sources.

4.4mm USB-C Decoding Cable

KADENZ includes a 4.4mm fully balanced Type-C decoding cable, adding another level of versatility to the package.

This allows KADENZ to be used directly with compatible USB-C devices while taking advantage of digital decoding and a balanced 4.4mm output connection.

A conventional cable and adapter are also included, giving users additional connection options.
