The PMC MB2S-P-C (Passive Center) is a high-performance 3-way studio monitor designed to serve as the anchor for MB2S-based multi-channel monitoring systems. Engineered for the world’s most demanding recording, mastering, and film post-production environments, this center channel ensures absolute sonic consistency and seamless panning across the front soundstage of any immersive audio or surround sound setup.
The Critical Link in Immersive Audio
In professional surround configurations, the center channel carries up to 70% of the sonic information, including critical dialogue and lead instrumentation. The MB2S-P-C is specifically voiced and oriented to ensure that this information is delivered with the same high-SPL impact and microscopic detail as the main MB2S-P left and right monitors, eliminating any “sonic signature” shift as sound moves across the room.
