Design and Engineering
The Solid 733 uses a heavy, rigid construction philosophy to achieve its sonic stability, providing a silent background for music reproduction.
- Chassis: The turntable features a 40 mm strong aluminum body that acts as a solid base and resonance sink.
- Platter: A heavy, 50 mm thick aluminum platter is precisely machined from a single billet and acts as a flywheel to ensure smooth, cogging-free rotation.
- Decoupling: The platter mat is a combination of natural leather with a 5mm thick acrylic layer, specifically chosen to damp vibrations within the record.
- Bearing: A high-precision “zero tolerance” bearing system uses a ground stainless steel axle, a cast liner, and a polished ceramic ball, decoupled with Teflon discs for smooth, quiet operation.
