Mark Levinson – No 515 Turntable
-
Mark Levinson Turntable Made in Collaboration with VPI: № 515 Features Triple-Belt Drive System, 3D-Printed Tonearm with On-the-Fly Adjustment, Ortofon Cadenza Bronze Cartridge
Even without the included reference-grade Ortofon Cadenza Bronze MC phono cartridge, the modern design cues and standout aluminum-sandwich chassis on the Mark Levinson № 515 turntable make it seem like this analog marvel could get up and get down on a dance floor. As expected, the first ‘table in the company’s 45-year history – and one engineered in collaboration with VPI – is no conventional rig. A massive 20-pound aluminum platter rotates on an inverted bearing, whose pinpoint accuracy stems from a stainless-steel shaft spinning in a phosphor bronze bushing. A gimbal-mounted 3D-printed tonearm with integrated headshell and on-the-fly adjustment, isolated AC synchronous motor, precision-machined pulley and triple-belt drive system, and discrete power amplifier augment push-button speed control and synergistic damping.
Made to meticulous standards in the U.S.A., № 515 even features a Mark Levinson “knob-inspired” stainless-steel record weight for supreme stability. Delrin and aluminum feet provide extra damping via their special polymer core. Just wait until you hear the detail, extension, nuances, dynamics, and tones pour from your vinyl LPs amidst dead-quiet, deep-black backgrounds. This instrument stands as one of the finest collaborations the high-end audio industry has ever witnessed. Analog will never be the same. 100% Music Direct Guaranteed.
“There was never any doubt the № 515 would be exceptional. This turntable is a testimonial for analog.”
– Ken Kessler, Hi-Fi News, Outstanding Product Review
“Not only does it look the part, but it has all the engineering prowess you’d expect…”

Composite and Aluminum Sandwich Chassis, Vibration-Damping Feet
№ 515 is based on a highly damped vinyl-wrapped composite and aluminum sandwich main chassis. The latter is supported by machined Delrin and aluminum Mark Levinson feet with a vibration-damping polymer core. The solid aluminum platter rotates on an inverted bearing, which employs a hardened stainless-steel shaft spinning in a phosphor bronze bushing for maximum rotational accuracy.
Powerful Synchronous Motor and Triple-Belt Drive System
A powerful high-torque AC synchronous motor is mounted to a separate vinyl-wrapped composite and aluminum sandwich chassis, and housed in its own mechanically isolated enclosure. A precision-machined pulley and triple belt-drive system provide smooth, quiet operation. A custom-designed, low-distortion analog oscillator and discrete, Class AB power amplifier deliver pristine power to the synchronous motor, while integrated electronic speed control delivers accurate 33 and 45RPM operation at the push of a button.
Ortofon Cadenza Bronze: Stellar Resolution, Striking Musicality, Vivid Dynamics
A reference cartridge by any measure, Cadenza Bronze conveys music with smashing precision, musicality, and dynamics. Employing a Replicant 100 stylus, conical aluminum cantilever, and Aucurum 6N gold-plated copper wire, Cadenza Bronze is an analog lover’s dream. Ortofon Bronze possesses superb resolution able to illuminate the furthest reaches of the soundstage and does so with striking warmth.
Gimbal-Mounted 3D-Printed Tonearm, Knob-Inspired Record Weight
№ 515 features a gimbal-mounted, 3D-printed tonearm with integral headshell, stainless-steel counterweight, and discrete internal cartridge lead routing. The tonearm is mounted to a rigid machined aluminum arm base featuring a precision-calibrated vertical tracking angle with on-the-fly adjustment. The Mark Levinson “knob-inspired” stainless-steel record weight and felt platter mat ensure maximum stability.
Tailored to Mate with Pure Phono Stage in № 526 and № 523 Preamplifiers
Created for the discriminating analog music lover, № 515 is the perfect complement to the Pure Phono stage included in Mark Levinson’s № 526 and № 523 preamplifiers.
The Mark Levinson Difference
Few, if any, names are more synonymous with premium-level high-end audio as Mark Levinson. Focusing on prestigious sound quality, time-defying longevity, and meticulous craftsmanship, every component wearing the Mark Levinson badge is at once a symbol of sonic excellence – and a sign you and your music have arrived at an exclusive destination.
