A sophisticated external power supply that stands out for the robustness and refinement of its all-metal mechanical construction with an industrial design that harmonizes with the products for which it is intended: the Nu-Vista Vinyl 2 phono preamplifier, the Nu-Vista DAC digital audio processor and the soon-to-be-available Nu-Vista CD player.
As a reference component, the internal architecture of the Nu-Vista Uniti PSU consists of three completely independent power subsystems. Each subsystem includes a state-of-the-art encapsulated transformer with inter-winding shielding, a DC blocking circuit and an elaborate mains filter made of discrete components to deliver an extremely clean voltage to the aforementioned devices.
As with the Nu-Vista PRE preamplifier and the Nu-Vista PAS and Nu-Vista PAM power amplifiers, this approach significantly improves noise performance by moving the AC power supply from the main unit to a separate enclosure. In addition, the use of separate power connections for each of the audio channels and for the control systems (including a dedicated socket for heating vacuum valves, i.e. nuvistors) results in increased sonic depth and channel separation, improving the spatial presentation of the sound.
